In May 2025, the learning community webinar featured Michelle Segar, PhD, MPH, MS, FSBM, author of "No Sweat: How the Simple Science of Motivation Can Bring You a Lifetime of Fitness" and "The Joy Choice: How to Finally Achieve Lasting Changes in Eating and Exercise."
Dr. Segar discussed the importance of physical activity and its benefits, and the challenges of promoting exercise for health benefits. She emphasized the need to focus on the emotional aspects of exercising and to reframe the purpose of physical activity for better health outcomes. The team also discussed the importance of staying active during winter and the need to be flexible with exercise and other non-exercise activities in life.
