Freestyle Libre Support Program for Patients (Provided by Abbott)
Updated: 05/22/25
This free, one-on-one virtual training pairs the patient with one of Abbott’s certified diabetes educators to learn the ins and outs of their Freestyle Libre CGM. Education is provided via video or telephone call.
The education content is a scripted walkthrough of existing Abbott publications, such as the Libre User Manual and patient how-to videos available on Abbott's website. No medical advice will be provided to the individual. The session is about 45-60 minutes and can be delivered in one or two shorter sessions. The program is available in English, Spanish, Arabic, French, and Russian.
Health Care Provider Note: The Libre Support Program offers a follow-up communication feature for health care professionals. Health Care Professionals can request a follow-up fax/eFax when enrolling patients in the Libre Support Program—either via phone or the website. This fax will confirm what training topics were covered, or if the patient could not be reached. This new feature aims to provide the patient’s medical team with better visibility into their patients’ support journey and program experience.
