A recording of the live MCT2D 2024 Training Series lecture held on October 25, 2024. This module is included in a 4-part Intro to MCT2D series. All primary care clinical champions must complete the series as part of onboarding as new members of the Michigan Collaborative for Type 2 Diabetes (MCT2D).
Objectives
  1. Discuss the physiological rationale for and definitions of carbohydrate-restricted eating patterns for type 2 diabetes management.
  2. Explore potential benefits, side effects, and risks of carbohydrate-restricted eating patterns and tailor dietary recommendations to meet patients’ needs.
  3. Define the roles of specific team members in the practice for operationalizing these different interventions.
